Chris Durrington Welcombes a win ahead of Paul Worth and Ian Cairns on a new course to the society.
The society side saw a new course today in visiting the Welcombe Hotel, just of the outskirts of the beautiful Stratford upon Avon which for all golfers seemed to play fair to the challenging course for us all! Chris Durrington got one of his wins on the Wednesday side of the society today with Paul Worth and Ian Cairns close on his Heels.
Norwood Park is up next on the agenda and will be the third round of this stage of the match play. Can you make it through?
Terry Tops the charts the day again at Morley Hayes to take control of the leagues….
Terry Topliss came out with the win again on countback with Mike Padmore and Colin Rouse coming in second and third respectively at Morley Hayes today,
It proved to be low scoring for all, mainly due to tough rough if you happened to miss the fairway.. and mighty tough greens to putt on if you didn’t have the midas tough on the day.
Topliss takes Top Spot at Birstall, and takes charge of the Wednesday championships too!
Terry Topliss wins on a warm sunny day at Birstall Golf Club, with new joining member Durham claiming second and Sharpe taking 3rd again.
Terry now has a commanding lead in the Wednesday championships and we now have closed the match play round 1 and start round 2 of the match play at Morley Hayes on 1st May.

Buswell Snr sneaks the victory at Feldon Valley. With Durrington and Sharpe pipped at the post on countback.
Chris Buswell Snr. sneaked the win at Feldon Valley on a course were a lot of us seemed to struggle at times.
Chris Durrington came in second and Sean Sharpe taking 3rd place. Although the result for the top 3 was all decided on countback with the top 3 all scoring 32 points.
Rich Toone storms to a win at Ramsdale in sun sleet and rain, though Cairns and Sharpe were close behind!
Rich Toone grabbed the win at Ramsdale on a day when the weather threw everything at the players for 30 minutes of april/winter showers of rain and sleet, to add to the perils of the lows and very high points of a very good course played so far this this year.
